A photo organizer, editor, uploader developed by Google Inc gives me a lots of fun. I have tried on the Picasa 2.7 Beta for Linux downloaded from here, and I am happy with it. While I traveling overseas, taking pictures using my phone, I want to upload it to my picasa web account. I want to upload it one shot instead of upload my photos one by one through the web interface.
With Picasa, it makes upload process faster, you can choose what to upload, create a new album or upload it to an existing album. Picasa support various photo edit features, I really like “Straighten”, “Crop”, “Auto Contrast” and “Auto Color”, it do makes my photo looks more lively.
Perhaps it has more features than what I have mention here, you may want to try out yourself.
You can download Picasa 2.7 Beta for Linux from HERE.

I used it for a while, but I then moved to f-spot which is also fun and most of all, open source! And it doesn’t need wine.

I’m pretty sure that Picasa doesn’t require wine either, but I could be wrong.

Mary Riley: picasa uses wine, picasa is still not native *nix app.
